Canada Diagnostic Centres (CDC) is a multi-modality diagnostic imaging provider committed to delivering Exceptional Patient Care in the medical imaging field. Since 1993, CDC has been providing patients and health care professionals with advanced diagnostic imaging of the body’s most important organs and systems.

CDC offers MRI, CT, Ultrasound 2D/3D and 4D real-time, Mammography, Pain Management, Bone Densitometry, Fluoroscopy, X-Ray and Kids Imaging services across 16 community clinics in Calgary, Edmonton, Okotoks and Sherwood Park.




The Medical Office Assistant is responsible for checking in patients and assisting in managing the workflow of all patients in and out of the clinic. The Medical Office Assistant is also expected to be cross-trained to perform duties of the Patient Coordinator.

Please note this is a casual position, therefore the hours and locations will vary.

Responsibilities:

Registers patients upon arrival.
Ensures patient records and files are accurate and current.
Updates electronic medical record system with appropriate information as needed.
Scans documents, burns discs, and prepares information for files or other clinics.
Opens and closes the clinic daily.
Processes payments and deposits.
Books appointments when needed.
Provides coverage for the Patient Coordinator when required.
Various other administrative duties as required.

Qualifications:

Diploma/Certificate from a Medical Administration program or minimum 1 year of Medical Office experience is required.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers.
Excellent communication skills in English (spoken, written, reading and comprehension).
Other languages are considered and asset.
Ability to communicate when there is a language barrier.
