Before I say anything, I want to say a Big congratulation to all 2019 Batch A prospective Corp Member that would be reporting to camp in due time. Take a sit while I download the importance of reporting to camp a day before the official opening of date.
Reporting to orientation camp on time has so many added benefits. Normally it's right to always be ahead of time in anything you are doing in life more especially when you are going to a place for the first time. It makes you stay away from unnecessary risk and other unexpected outcomes.
The fact that you are going to your state of deployment for the first time is enough to make you leave the house before the deal date that NYSC fixed for the opening of camp. This helps you not to be stranded on your way and also take you away from much rush. It also gives you the opportunity of packing all your need for the 21days, in other not to forget anything.
Outside that, reporting on time makes you faceless stress during the registration day due to the fact that there will be much rush and less attention will be placed on you guys. The whole place will be filled with people with different characters and those you haven't seen before. Due to that, it will be very hard for you to settle down and communicate with people freely but you can overcome this when you report on time.
NYSC normally gives a command that all prospective crop members that reported a day before the deal date should be giving a temporal accommodation. The temporal accommodations are later converted to permanent accommodation. This helps all that reported a day before the official opening of the orientation camp to settle down and get used of the environment. It also gives prospective Corp Members the opportunity of settling a good hostel with a nice facility, a nice place to keep your loads and a good bed.
The camp director will be available to receive all that will be reporting on time thereby introduce other official and make some necessary announcements. This helps all prospective Corp Member to get used to camp official and get quittance with them for future benefit. Pay attention to all the information he or she will pass on to you guys. He or she might not have time to address the prospective Corp members again because tomorrow will be a busy day for the camp director.
